Background

There are three dual fuel steam boilers in a government hospital. Boiler feed water is treated by water softener and chemicals.

In order to improve the energy efficiency of the boilers, HydroFLOW is installed and energy efficiency are monitored by means of fuel consumption and steam generation.

Result

After two years of operation without pre-cleaning of the tubes, the efficiency of boilers was evaluated. Due to malfunction of steam flow meter, some of the periods are not included in the following table.

The average improvement in efficiency of boiler is 13.5% and the investment on HydroFLOW can be paid back in 7 months.
